I was having problems finding a fuel filter. I went two different places. I spent 6+ hours finding and mounting parts. I had no luck getting the correct filter. The inlet OD has to be 10mm, but all the filters are 3/8". I went to Oreilly's, because that's were the professionals go. We looked at a Wix filter he thought would work. The guy at the counter took out a micrometer and measured 3/8" inlet. He then went online to order the part from another store. He said it will be there in 3 hours. I asked him if that was the correct part. He said he would double check for 10mm when the part arrived and he would call me to let me know. When no call came to my phone, I called to find out the part was there. I asked this different person with an accent to confirm the 10mm OD for the inlet. He assured me that it WAS 10mm (lied). Picked it up, installed it, and it leaked like the rest of the 3/8". I looked up the part number online and it was 3/8" inlet. I was PISSED at this point. I went to the store and the guy said again he tested it for 10mm, but it was 3/8"(lied to my face). Then the liar said to the other, "you are the one who ordered it". Trying to distract from his ineptness. The original person measured it with a micrometer. No one ever said sorry. No one ever apologized for lying 2 times to my face while 3 feet away?! No one ever offered a refund, or an exchange. They just went about their business until I gasped and asked for a refund. Is this the world we live in...? I'll just go buy the part online.
